HTMA engagement with DfT Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme (HMEP)
The Association has provided and continues to provide a significant contribution to the Department of Transport’s Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme. Active members are helping with the development and maintenance of the products, a representative on the Strategic Steering Group as well as regional representatives supporting the Engage and Enable local delivery of the programme.
HTMA led on the Client–Provider Collaboration toolkit for HMEP and most recently, we have been closely involved with the Collaborative Contracting toolkit, which is designed to overcome a number of recurring issues that are adversely affecting the performance of our industry resulting in extremely damaging outcomes.
